National Fitness Day – blog by the Get Yourself Active Team

Today is National Fitness Day – and it happens to be the Great British Week of Sport this week too! In recognition of these two important calendar events, the Get Yourself Active team at Disability Rights UK have written a blog on the value of physical activity, with a particular focus on the additional challenges during these difficult times. It also includes an introduction to the Tackling Inequalities Fund that Get Yourself Active is administering on behalf of Sport England. Through this fund, we hope to see more disabled people and people with long-term health conditions being supported to stay active in a way that is right for them during the Covid-19 pandemic.
