Take part in research investigating the presence of shoulder pain in wheelchair users

Researchers at the University of Southampton, Loughborough University and the University of Brighton, who are part of a nationwide Centre for Sport, Exercise and Osteoarthritis, are trying to find out about the presence of shoulder pain and osteoarthritis in wheelchair users and the effect of physical activity.

In particular, given the current COVID-19 situation, they would like to understand whether the lockdown has influenced the presence of shoulder pain in relation to changes in physical activity.

They have created a survey, which should take no longer than 15 minutes to complete to help to gain an understanding of these issues. At the end of the survey the participant has the option of entering a prize draw to win £100 towards wheelchair accessories. The study has been approved by the University of Southampton Ethics Committee (reference number: 47015).
